With apologies for the long gap between episodes, we return to bring you some crazy metal news. For example, did you ever think you’d hear Chuck Billy singing Thriller? What about Gene Simmons performing the National Anthem? Speaking of Gene, is his hair piece made out of Brillo? What exactly is going on up there?
In addition, we give reviews of the Iron Maiden beer as well as Metallica’s new IMAX 3D movie, “Through the Never.” SPOILER: It’s awesome!
And finally, we’re giving away a copy of the new Black Label Society BluRay “Unblackened”! Listen for details on how to win.

Okay, that’s not true. But while going through the Prince of Darkness’s catalog, we did realize that perhaps there are more misses than hits. But hey, Ozzy is a legend and we give him his due in this episode, going through the best of his solo career.
Additionally, we discuss Jason Newsted’s upcoming album and his recent comments about “saving Metallica”, and beat the dead horse that is Dave Mustaine. Is his new album terrible? Listen and find out.
We also debut a new contest! Simply write us an email and you could win a $20 Spotify gift card. It’s that easy!
You may be wondering, “What’s with that artwork?” Well, we commissioned Valient Himself from our favorite band Valient Thorr to draw us a little something for the podcast. Stare at it. Let it sink in. Enjoy!
This time around, things get morbid. We’re talking Death…metal. No, not “Death Metal”. But metal made by guys who are dead. You follow? So with that theme in mind, we give you some great metal from some legends, as well as from some lesser-knowns.
But don’t worry, things aren’t all solemn and dark. We made sure to sprinkle in a few fart jokes too, just to keep the mood light.

It’s time once again to discover some new music with a Spotify episode. We begin with Meshuggah and see where the path leads us. In addition, we discuss the untimely death of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, take some cheap shots at Five Finger Death Punch, and Craig gives us a review of the Golden Gods.

We’re both a bit crabby and cynical today, but don’t let that dissuade you. We’ve still got a show full of great music for you with one of the best thrash bands around. We give you a review of the Metal Alliance tour, talk about Phil Anselmo’s upcoming solo album, wonder who’s going to see Black Sabbath, and agree that nostalgia tours suck ass.
This episode marks the first of (hopefully) many guest shows. The idea is to bring on one of our metal-loving friends and let them co-host and pick a playlist of their all-time favorite metal songs. That way, we can listen to some great tunes while not having to just listen to the two of us drone on about them.
This week, good friend and guitarist extraordinaire Jon Yeske joins us, bringing a great mix of classic metal and newer tunes. We hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording.
