In this episode, we marvel at the beautiful absurdity of Steel Panther. I mean, come on. How can you not shake your head and laugh when you hear a title like “It Won’t Suck Itself”? Is it juvenile? Sure. But if you were around for the 80s hair metal scene, you know that Steel Panther’s parody isn’t far off the mark.
Sadly, it’s not all fun and games this week. Our news is a bit on the somber side as we discuss the final chapter in the Randy Blythe trial, and bid fairwell to Clive Burr of Iron Maiden.

In this episode, we cover one of the original thrash bands, Exodus. Do they get enough credit? Or are their lineup changes and inconsistent releases to blame for their second-tier status in the pantheon of great metal bands?
We cover the ongoing Randy Blythe saga, salivate over the Metal Alliance tour, and play with the James Hetfield sound board. And, in a surprising turn of events, John decides he’s going to turn over a new leaf and be more positive following a Twitter encounter with Eddie Trunk.
After our brief foray into hair metal, we’re back to our regularly scheduled program with…MASTADON! Now, we’re no experts, so we took this opportunity to learn a bit more about the band and play a handful of some of their great, great tunes. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we did.
We also talk about the upcoming Motorhead album, give yet another update on the Randy Blythe situation, and talk a bit about Mike McCready’s side project, Mad Season.
Speaking of Randy Blythe, if you haven’t already, please click here and sign the petition to help free him from prison.
Our last song is from a dude named Serj Tankian, called “Figure it Out.” You can find it here
Alright, things get a bit saucy in this one. Perhaps it’s because hair metal makes us want to drink ourselves stupid. Either way, by the time we’re done talking about spandex, hair spray, and really bad lyrics, we’re barely able to form complete sentences. Along the way, we talk about Motley Crue, Ratt, Lita Ford, Cinderella, Poison, and more.
Beyond that, we discuss the further developments in the Randy Blythe situation, Sebastian Bach’s recent hissy fit, and a new piece of Kiss merchandise that actually doesn’t feel like a shameless money grab. Way to go, Gene!
The last song this week is “The Wild Hunt” by Therion. You can find the song here
We Are Satan’s People! We Are Silly Poopchutes! Wet Ass Smells Pretty! Whatever! On this episode, we feature Blackie Lawless and his band of misfits known as W.A.S.P. If you’re into 80s cock rock, this is the show for you!
We also discuss the terrible situation with Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe, and take on the old debate of Joey Belladonna vs. John Bush. Don’t forget to vote for your choice on the Vs. page.
